Important information about dev options and enabling it. For some reason if you dont see or have developer options try this:

Guys i figured out how to re enable dev options on firestick. it’s the same way as Samsung and android now. You have to go to settings, about, and keep clicking on fire TV stick Lite (or whatever model you have) if dev options is not already there and it will tell you that you are a developer after 5 times or until you see it say you are now a dev

Also try resetting your device.

Device and setting, look for about and click that 7 times for dev options to appear.

I was updating all my six firesticks with new apks recommended from Troypoint, when one of them said something like "wait until we condense or check… " It stuck there for over an hour. Re-powered, and it’s stuck on the Fire TV logo, 3 dots scrolling at bottom. Tried everything found online, unplugged, different power cord/transformer, remote. . nothing. Contacted Amazon support they gave similar fixes, none worked. Finally said, “nothing we can do, out of warranty, we’ll give you 20% off next Fire TV device.”
Any one have any ideas how to resolve this and use this fire stick. I don’t think it’s a 4k, but a newer generation. Hate to toss it. Luckily just bought a 4k, and have Onn as spare.

Sorry i havent used a firestick in a while. Not familiar with the issue.

Personally i wouldn’t stay with Amazon devices. They are getting more and more restrictive.

The Onn 4k ($20) is a good replacement but the Onn 4k Pro ($50) is even better and recommended by many here. I have 2 and no complaints.

Good luck, hopefully someone here can help you salvage the device. No need to throw it out if it still has miles left on it.

I have not been able to find this info so I am hoping this is the right place to ask. I am trying to add the paramount plus app to my firestick 4K but the App Store says it can’t be found. Ant ideas about where else could get it from? Thank you!

Welcome! You absolutely can use a VPN on the Onn 4k boxes or the Pro. I have used a few different VPN brands on them successfully.
